HOW TO APPLY

Please email a letter of interest to krakauerinstitute@gmail.com with the subject heading “Application” and pay the one-time refundable application fee of $25.00 either via Zelle (preferred) to 914-261-9632/katie.kresek@gmail.com OR via Venmo to @Katie-Kresek. You may be asked to submit a recent recording for placement purposes, or to play for a faculty member via zoom or in person if possible.

If applying for scholarship, you must apply by February 1, 2025. All others must apply by the final deadline of March 1, 2025. See below for the full timeline of important dates.

TUITION

Tuition for the 10-day program is $1500.00 ($1400.00 if applying by February 1st)

Students in a college program may attend for $1400.00 ($1300.00 if applying by February 1st)

We never want anyone to feel that cost is prohibitive. We encourage all applicants to apply for scholarships which will be given on a basis of need and merit. Please include a statement of need with your application email. You must apply by the February 1st deadline to be considered for scholarship.

Tuition rates include full days of classes, workshops, and special programs.

Tuition does not include room & board, airfare, or any other travel expenses.

ROOM & BOARD

Rooms are available as single, double, and triple occupancy as requested and include 3 delicious daily meals as well as the use of the pool, the game room, and all practice rooms. Please indicate your preferences when applying. The costs for 11 nights (June 24 check in after 3 PM and July 5 departure before 10 AM) are:

$1,375.00 for a SINGLE OCCUPANCY ROOM (VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY)

$1,210.00 for a DOUBLE OCCUPANCY ROOM

$1,045.00 for a TRIPLE OCCUPANCY ROOM

IMPORTANT DATES:

FEBRUARY 1: Deadline to apply for scholarship and receive $100 tuition discount.

FEBRUARY 10: Early applicant acceptance notification with scholarship.

FEBRUARY 15: Deadline to submit deposit to hold your place (early applicants).

MARCH 1: Final deadline to apply for the program.

MARCH 10: Applicant acceptance notification.

MARCH 15: Deadline to submit deposit to hold your place.

APRIL 15: Deadline to submit final payment.
